Tether A Verizon Wireless Samsung Schi760 To A Pc

The Samsung SCH-i760 is a Windows Mobile smart phone released on the Verizon Wireless network. This smart phone is capable of sharing its Internet connection with a PC or laptop using a process called "tethering." By downloading Verizon's VZAccess Manager software and connecting your SCH-i760 via a USB cable, you can use your phone's data connection to access the web on your computer. Please note that this will require a tethering plan to be added to your wireless account.

Instructions

1. Contact Verizon Wireless and ask them to add the "BroadbandAccess Connect" option to your wireless plan. This will add an additional charge to your monthly bill.

2. Download the VZAccess Manager software (see Resources). This software is required to tether your SCH-i760 to your PC. Save the downloaded file to your desktop.

3. Double-click the saved file and follow the installation wizard's step-by-step instructions to install the VZAccess Manager application.

4. Open VZAccess Manager by clicking "Start" > "All Programs" and selecting VZAccess Manager from the list of available programs.

5. Set up the tethering link on your SCH-i760 smart phone by tapping "Start" > "Accessories" > "Modem-link" > "Activate" and selecting "On."

6. Connect the SCH-i760 to your computer using the smart phone's USB data cable. The phone will be automatically detected by the VZAccess Manager application. You can then click "Connect" in the VZAccess Manager software to begin tethering.
