Use Jabra

Jabra makes several types of wireless Bluetooth headsets, all of which are compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled phone that supports a headset profile. The headsets designed by Jabra range widely in design, but setup and basic use instructions are similar no matter which headset you own. Before you can start using your Jabra, you'll need to set it up for use with your phone by pairing the two devices. Pairing is a one-time set up procedure.

Instructions

Pairing

1. Connect your Jabra headset to the supplied charging source and allow it to charge fully--this takes about two hours. Your headset's indicator light will change from red to off when charging has completed.

2. Disconnect your headset from the charger and leave it powered off.

3. Power your phone on and select "Settings," then "Bluetooth." Choose "On" to turn Bluetooth power on.

4. Press and hold the headset's "Answer/End" or "On/Off" button (depending on model) for approximately five seconds. Release the button when the indicator light begins flashing. The headset is now in pairing mode.

5. Press your phone's "Menu" button and select the Bluetooth options. Choose "Add New" or "Search" to look for the headset. Allow the phone to search--this may take several moments. Make sure your phone and headset are within a few feet of one another.

6. Select the name of the headset from the list of discovered devices. Enter "0000" when your phone prompts you to enter a passkey. Your phone will confirm pairing and connect to your Jabra for use.

Basic Use

7. Position the headset on your ear, looping the ear hook around the back of your ear. Keep the microphone pointing towards your mouth.

8. Answer an incoming call by tapping the "Answer/End" button once. To make a call, use your handset to dial the number and press the phone's "Send" key. Audio will then be routed to your headset.

9. Use the "Volume Adjust" key, located on the side of the headset (for most models) to turn the in call volume up or down. Volume up is marked with a "+," volume down with a "-."

10. Hang up the call by tapping the "Answer/End" button once. Route calls to your handset by pressing the "On/Off" button for two to three seconds to turn the headset off.

11. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth power is set to "On" to reconnect to your headset. Press the "On/Off" button to turn the headset on. Your phone and headset will connect automatically, provided they are in range.
