Nokia 6030 Battery Specs

A Li-Ion battery is the most common type of battery used in mobile devices, including laptops as well as mobile phones.

The Nokia 6030 is an entry-level dual-band mobile phone with mobile Internet access, speakerphone capability and a built-in FM radio. This phone model is powered by the Nokia battery model BL-5C, a replaceable extended lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery with 850 milliamp-hours capacity. Milliamp-hours (mAh) refers to the total amount of energy a battery is capable of storing at one time. The term "lithium-ion" refers to the chemical composition of the battery.

Battery Life

The BL-5C will power the Nokia 6030 mobile phone with a maximum of 3.0 hours of telephone talk time, or up to 300 hours -- 12.5 days -- of power when not using the phone to make or receive calls. Actual talk and standby times will vary depending on personal use and charging practices, network configuration, temperature and signal strength.

Dimensions

The Nokia 6030 BL-5C battery has a flat rectangular shape and weighs 2 oz. It is 53.05 mm tall, 33.84 mm wide and 5.62 mm deep.

Compatibility

The Nokia 6300 battery may also serve as a replacement part for the Nokia BL-5CA, BL-5CB and BR-5C batteries. The same battery will also power Nokia models 1100, 1112, 1208, 2330, 2730, 3100, 3660, 5130, 6086, 6230, 6555, 6600, 6670, 6820, 6822, 7610, C1-01, C2-01, N70, N71, N72 and X2-01.

Advisory

In August 2007, 46 million Nokia 6300 BL-5C batteries were the subject of a product advisory recall. The batteries recalled were manufactured by Matsushita between December 2005 and November 2006. The issue cited was potential overheating caused by a short circuit during the charging process. Nokia 6300 owners are encouraged to visit batteryreplacement.nokia.com and enter the battery serial number to determine if they have one of the affected batteries.
