Nokia 5610 Bluetooth Problems

While the Nokia 5610's Bluetooth feature can simplify talking on the phone while in motion or sharing files with others, the experience is not always problem-free. Problems with pairing and audio distortion can detract from the experience. Fortunately most issues are resolvable without calling Nokia's technical support.

Bluetooth Visibility

When attempting to connect with another user for the purpose of file or contact sharing, you must first ensure that your Nokia 5610 is set as "Visible," or other Bluetooth capable devices will be unable to connect to it. Press "Menu," "Settings," "connectivity," "Bluetooth" and "My Phone's Visibility." Select the "Visible" option. Your phone will then be discoverable to others.

Range Roving

If you experience problems connecting to other devices with your Nokia 5610, make sure that both Bluetooth devices are within 33 feet of each other. Especially in situations where both users are in motion, attempting to establish a Bluetooth connection while outside the optimal range could result in failures.

Audio Issues

If problems with buzzing, static, screeching and stuttering manifest while using a Bluetooth headset with your 5610, the problem could be due to interference. Because Bluetooth uses radio waves, communication may be hindered in the proximity of other electronic devices. Avoid using your headset near cordless phones, stereos and other devices capable of transmitting and receiving using radio frequencies.
