Check If My Ss4200 Has Firmware

The SS4200 by Intel is a storage system developed specifically for small businesses and home offices. This device comes in two versions: the SS4200-E and the SS4200-EHW. Both devices store and protect important data; however, to ensure that your device functions properly, it's important to have its latest firmware version. Check what firmware it has (and if it's the latest version) through the storage system manager interface.

Instructions

1. Launch the storage system manager interface for your Intel SS4200. To accomplish this, double-click the SS4200 storage system manager icon displayed on your desktop. This icon has eight small squares of different colors and was automatically added to your desktop when you installed the SS4200 storage system.

2. Enter the username and password in the corresponding fields and click the "Log in" tab.

3. Click on the "Settings" tab located on the upper-right region of the storage system manager interface.

4. Click the option that says "Click here to update the device" and you will be redirected to the "Upgrade Device Software" screen. This screen displays the current firmware for your SS4200 device beside where it says "Current Device Software Version." If a firmware upgrade is available, you will see an upgrade notice on the upper region of the screen letting you know that an upgrade is available and ready for installation.
