Nokia cellular phones are produced and sold internationally. The Nokia 6070 is a camera phone that was first introduced in 2006, and among other features includes tri-band operation that switches between three frequencies to achieve the best available call quality. The 6070 also includes an FM radio and slim candy bar-like design.
Physical Properties
The Nokia 6070 is a rectangular-shaped device equipped with an interface that includes slightly raised rectangle number buttons and basic "Call" and "End" call buttons. The phone measures 4.15 inches in height, 1.75 inches wide and .73 inches thick and weighs 3.1 ounces. The antenna is built into the phone. The high resolution screen contains 128 x 160 lines of resolution displayed in 16-bit color.
Messaging Capabilities
The 6070 is installed with the Nokia series 40 user interface. Standard features included SMS and MMS messaging capabilities, Nokia Xpress audio messaging that enables a user to send short voice clips as messages instead of texting. Instant messaging and email are also available on the phone through SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4 email protocols. Users can assign photos to their contacts and take photos or videos with the integrated VGA 640 by 480 pixel camera. The 3 megabytes of internal memory allows you to store videos and photos in the phone's memory.
Network Properties
The Nokia 6070 is a tri-band phone that operates on the 850, 1800 and 1900 MHz frequencies which switch automatically in order to get the best voice and call quality possible. The phone can transfer data on the Web browser at EDGE speeds, which are faster than the standard GSM network used for voice calls. An XHTML browser allows you to browse the Web. The phone can output mp3 ringtones with the polyphonic ringer that is capable of displaying several different notes of music simultaneously. Talk time--the amount of time the battery would last during a phone call--is three hours, and standby time--when the phone is not being used--is averaged at 12 days.
Other Features
The phone is equipped with vibrating alert, three-way calling, PC synchronization, back-lit screen saver, white illuminated keys, Java platform for games, voice dialing, alarm clock, speakerphone and calculator. The Nokia 6070 also comes equipped with a stereo FM radio with accompanying headphones/hands-free ear buds.
