Use Usb Cable Connectivity For A Nokia 6085

Connect your cell phone to any computer with a USB data cable.


The Nokia 6085 is a wireless cell phone that comes with a built in MP3 player and VGA video/still camera. With the music and video you need to connect the wireless phone to your computer in order to both upload music to the phone and download video/picture footage. In order to perform this task you must connect the Nokia 6085 wireless phone to your computer through a USB data cable.


Instructions


1. Open your Internet browser and navigate to the driver download page (see Resources). Click the download link and the driver downloads directly to the computer.


2. Double-click the downloaded file and the driver installation wizard appears. Click "Next," then leave both the installation name and location as is. Choose "Install" and the driver installs directly onto the computer.


3. Insert the USB data cable into the power port on the side of the Nokia 6085 wireless phone. Plug the opposite end of the cable into one of the USB ports on the computer.


4. Power on the Nokia cell phone (if it isn't already) and click "Start," (My) "Computer" and double-click the removable device icon. A window appears with all of the data files currently stored on the cell phone. If you want to download files from the phone click either the "Video" or "Picture" folder, then click-and-drag the files from the phone onto your computer. To upload music to the phone double-click the "Music" folder and click-and-drag the audio files onto the phone. Once complete close out the open window, right-click the icon and choose "Eject." When the icon disappears you may now disconnect the cell phone.
