Micro SD card with adapter
Phone memory cards are most often micro size SD cards. "SD" stands for "Secure Digital," and according to the SD Association, the micro SD cards were specifically designed for the expanding mobile media market. They are used in phones to expand memory capacity for data such as photos and music. Putting music on your phone's memory card can be done right from your PC, and requires following a few simple steps.
Instructions
1. Put your micro SD card into a memory card adapter. Memory cards for cell phones are usually the micro SD cards that require an adapter to be put into a card slot on your PC. Memory card adapters usually come with the micro SD, but if you do not have one, you can purchase one at an electronic store, or where cell phones and accessories are sold.
2. Insert the memory card/adapter into a card slot on your computer. If your computer does not have a built in card slot, you will need to use a USB card reader, available at a department or an electronics store.
3. Open your music program on your PC and then open your program's library. Minimize the window so it does not take up your entire PC screen.
4. Right click on "Start" and then click on "Explore." This will open a list of all programs, files and devices on your computer. Scroll down the list until you find your memory card listed. It will usually be at the bottom of the list, under your CD drive. It may read as "Removeable Drive" and have a drive letter such as an "H" or an "I" next to it. It may also read as "Memory Card."
5. Click on the song in your music library that you want to put on your cell phone, and then drag it over top of the "Removeable Drive" or "Memory card" listing. Continue to drag and drop all the songs that you want to save to the memory card.
6. Remove the memory card from your PC when finished, and insert it into your phone.
