Motorola introduced the Razr brand of flip cell phones in 2004, and the phones were instantly a big hit with the buying public. Among the Razr's most distinguishing characteristics is its extreme thinness, making it exceptionally easy to hold and carry. Its sleek, lean design not only makes it an agreeable, convenient phone to own, but its stylishness has made it popular with fashion-conscious consumers who want their phone to be part of their look. Numerous Razr versions of the phone came out. The Razr2 succeeded the Razr.
Razr V3
The V3 was the original Razr and the version that gained an immediate foothold in the cell phone market. The V3's appeal was built on the originality and aesthetic of its design, but the technology that operated the phone and its overall call-handling performance were not as highly regarded, though it had no shortage of features. It was Bluetooth-capable with a digital camera and MP3 player. The V3 featured a ringtone composer.
Razr 3m and 3c
The Razr 3m and 3c phones were created solely for the use of Verizon Wireless service customers. The 3c came first, and then the 3m. They shared many similarities, including a shared look, feel and interface. Most of the features are the same, too, including access to Verizon's wireless network, Bluetooth and a camera. Additions to the 3m included an integrated music player, access to Verizon's GPS navigation service and a Micro SD card slot.
Razr V3i
The Motorola Razr V3i's most notable feature was its iTunes player. The V3i did not offer embedded or downloadable games as part of the phone; these were available with the V3 and V3xx Razr versions. The 3i added voice command to the interface, which was a feature that the V3 did not possess. It also came with an improved camera with better zoom capabilities.
Razr V3xx
The Razr V3xx was the first high-speed downlink packet access Razr phone that was available for purchase in North America, thereby improving upon the response and speed of the Internet connections of previous phones. In addition to the megapixel camera, the phone also had Bluetooth and a Micro SD memory card. The phone maintained the Razr's distinctive lean physique and clamshell design. The phone was offered with AT&T service.
